Neuroprotective compounds from the resinous heartwood of Aquilaria sinensis

Summary: Six previously unknown compounds were isolated from the resinous heartwood of Aquilaria sinensis, along with 15 known compounds. Structural and configurational analyses were performed on these compounds, some of which showed neuroprotective activities in PC12 cell models.
