Surveilling and Tracking COVID-19 Patients Using a Portable Quantum Dot Smartphone Device

Yuwei Zhang et al.

Summary: The study developed a portable smartphone-based quantum barcode serological assay device with high clinical sensitivity, enabling real-time surveillance of patients infected with SARS-CoV-2. Compared to lateral flow assays, this device showed significantly higher diagnostic performance and provided instantaneous results for informing patients, physicians, and public health agencies.
