Targeting mTOR and Glycolysis in HER2-Positive Breast Cancer

Ryan W. Holloway et al.

Summary: Approximately one third of all breast cancers are classified as HER2-positive, with a higher risk of recurrence. Elevated HER2 levels lead to increased mTOR pathway activity and cancer cell growth. Combination therapies show improved clinical outcomes but also come with more toxic effects and a higher risk of recurrence.
