Nanotechnology for Natural Medicine: Formulation of Neem Oil Loaded Phospholipid Vesicles Modified with Argan Oil as a Strategy to Protect the Skin from Oxidative Stress and Promote Wound Healing

Maria Letizia Manca et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated that vesicles prepared with neem oil, argan oil, and sodium hyaluronate can effectively protect the skin from oxidative stress and contribute to the treatment of skin lesions. Argan-liposomes were the smallest vesicles, while the addition of sodium hyaluronate improved the stability of vesicles.

Leaves and Fruits Preparations of Pistacia lentiscus L.: A Review on the Ethnopharmacological Uses and Implications in Inflammation and Infection

Egle Milia et al.

Summary: Pistacia lentiscus L. (PlL) is a wild-growing shrub rich in terpenoids and polyphenols, with oil and extracts widely used for their anti-inflammatory, antioxidative and antimicrobial activities. The essential oil of PlL contains components such as alpha-pinene and myrcene, with anti-inflammatory effects linked to the inhibition of pro-inflammatory cytokines. PlL is considered a nutraceutical and therapeutic agent against a variety of diseases based on its properties against inflammation and infections.
