Improved heat tolerance in creeping bentgrass by γ-aminobutyric acid, proline, and inorganic nitrogen associated with differential regulation of amino acid metabolism

Stephanie Rossi et al.

Summary: The study found that application of GABA, proline, and N significantly improved heat tolerance in creeping bentgrass, increasing chlorophyll content. GABA enhanced heat tolerance mainly through regulation of amino acid metabolism in the GABA shunt and oxaloacetate pathways, while proline improved heat tolerance by regulating five metabolic pathways.
