Gaia Early Data Release 3 Summary of the contents and survey properties

A. G. A. Brown et al.

Summary: Gaia EDR3 is the early installment of the third data release from the Gaia project, providing astrometry and photometry for 1.8 billion sources brighter than magnitude 21, along with radial velocities from Gaia DR2. The data processing precision and homogeneity have significantly improved compared to the previous version, with additional information on celestial bodies and an updated celestial reference frame.

KIC 5359678: a detached eclipsing binary with starspots

Jiaxin Wang et al.

Summary: In this study, the detached eclipsing binary system KIC 5359678 is analyzed using high-quality Kepler photometry and LAMOST spectroscopy. The system is found to consist of two F-type main-sequence stars, with estimated masses, radii, and age. Signs of starspot modulation are observed, and a model with two starspots is applied to fit the signals, showing a decrease in longitude over time.

Yang Pan et al.

Summary: A photometric and spectroscopic analysis was conducted on the eclipsing binary TIC 157376469 using data from TESS and LAMOST, resulting in a new linear ephemeris. The binary system consists of two K-type main-sequence stars with a slightly eccentric orbit, and the primary star is identified as a spotted active star.
