Screening for sugarcane yellow leaf virus in sorghum in Florida revealed its occurrence in mixed infections with sugarcane mosaic virus and a new marafivirus

Wardatou Boukari et al.

Summary: Sugarcane yellow leaf virus (SCYLV) was found to infect sorghum as another natural host with a high prevalence rate in Florida. The detection of SCYLV in sorghum may be associated with a non-specific serological reaction triggered by an unknown sorghum antigen, as suggested by the experimental results.
