A new virus, named sweetbriar rose curly-top associated virus (SRCTaV), was identified in sweetbriar rose using high-throughput sequencing. The complete genome sequence of SRCTaV was determined and characterized. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that SRCTaV is closely related to members of the genus Waikavirus.
