Effects of dietary carbohydrate sources on growth performance, immunity and glycometabolic enzyme activity ofRhynchocypris lagowskiiDybowski

Min Li et al.

Summary: The study found that the dietary carbohydrate sources affected the growth performance, digestive ability, immunity and glycometabolic enzyme activity of Rhynchocypris lagowskii. Corn starch and dextrin had positive effects on growth, digestion and absorption, antioxidant capacity and immunity, while glucose and sucrose performed poorly in these aspects.

Study of fermented feed by mixed strains and their effects on the survival, growth, digestive enzyme activity and intestinal flora of Penaeus vannamei

Mingzhu Zhang et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated that solid-state fermentation of commercial feed for Penaeus vannamei using a mixed strains combination significantly improved the nutritional quality of the feed, enhanced growth performance, antioxidant capacity, and gut microflora of the shrimp. Shrimps fed with fermented diets containing 10(8) CFU g(-1) of mixed strains showed the best results.
