In situ synthesis of polymer-modified boron nitride nanosheets via anionic polymerization

Zhiyan He et al.

Summary: This study presents a method for in-situ synthesis of polymer-modified boron nitride nanosheets via reductive functionalization. The functionalized boron nitride nanosheets show excellent dispersibility in acetone and provide remarkable mechanical reinforcement for polymeric composites when used as fillers. The reductive charge offers a simple and scalable route for versatile chemical modifications of BNNSs, which will have important applications in various fields.
