Functional properties of quaternary metals (1-x)ZnMn2O4/(x)MgFe2O4 as supercapacitor electrode

Zein K. Heiba et al.

Summary: Solid solutions of (1-x)ZnMn2O4/(x)MgFe2O4 (x=0.0, 0.1, 0.5, 0.9, 1.0) were successfully obtained via a sol-gel method, with the phase structure confirmed by X-ray analysis. The composition of different elements and nano-nature of the samples were identified using FTIR and electron microscopy. UV-Vis spectroscopy and magnetic measurements were utilized to study the optical and magnetic properties of the solid solutions, while cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge-discharge studies were conducted to evaluate supercapacitor performance.

Emission-tunable Mn-doped ZnS/ZnO heterostructure nanobelts for UV-pump WLEDs

Do Quang Trung et al.

Summary: A new emission-tunable Mn-doped ZnS/ZnO heterostructure nanobelts were successfully synthesized with controllable light emission properties. By adjusting the oxidation temperature, the nanobelts exhibit white light emission characteristics similar to commercial phosphors. By incorporating these nanobelts into UV-pumped WLED fabrication, a prototype with good luminous efficiency was achieved.

In-situ growth of NiS co-catalyst on MnS/Mn0.3Cd0.7S heterojunction for boosting photocatalytic hydrogen evolution under visible light irradiation

Chenhe Shi et al.

Summary: Enhancing photocatalytic hydrogen evolution efficiency by completing element regulation, formation of heterojunction, and loading of co-catalyst simultaneously, the MnS/Mn0.3Cd0.7S heterojunction modified with NiS co-catalyst was prepared. This resulted in improved charge separation and decreased recombination rate of electron-hole pairs, leading to an optimal photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate under visible light irradiation.
