Capacity of the Weakly Absorbent Turbulent Ocean Channel with the Coaxial Double-Position Power Gaussian Vortex

Qingze Yan et al.

Summary: Based on the Rytov approximation theory, this study investigates the channel capacity and bit error rate of an underwater extinction communication link with a coaxial double-position power Gaussian vortex carrier. The research reveals that the channel capacity and bit error rate are nonlinear functions of the structural parameter, reaching maximum and minimum values at specific points. Seawater absorption significantly affects the channel capacity, while specific characteristics of the communication link result in higher channel capacity.
