CeIV70 Oxosulfate Rings, Frameworks, Supramolecular Assembly, and Redox Activity**

Ian Colliard et al.

Summary: M-IV molecular oxo-clusters, such as Ce-70, have diverse crystal structures and can form intricate frameworks with divalent transition metals and Ce-monomer linkers. These clusters show potential for catalysis, ion exchange, and oxidation-reduction reactions, opening up new possibilities for metal-organic framework design.

Designable Assembly of Aluminum Molecular Rings for Sequential Confinement of Iodine Molecules

Chen-Hui Liu et al.

Summary: This study presents a coordination-driven self-assembly strategy for adsorbents capable of sequentially capturing iodine molecules. The adsorbents showed high removal rates and considerable loading capacities, providing distinct pore sizes and binding sites for the iodine molecules. Crystallographic data supported the sequential confinement of iodine molecules, revealing molecular details of host-guest binding interactions at high resolution.

Interpenetrated Metal-Porphyrinic Framework for Enhanced Nonlinear Optical Limiting

De-Jing Li et al.

Summary: This study presents the synthesis and characterization of two 3D porphyrinic MOFs, with one showing superior optical limiting performance compared to the other. The interpenetrated framework of the MOFs enhanced electron delocalization and transfer, leading to improved nonlinear optical properties. Adjusting the MOFs concentration and metalloporphyrin type optimized the optical limiting response in the MOFs/PDMS composites.

Aluminium nanorings: configuration deformation and structural transformation

Lin Geng et al.

Summary: This study presents the first example of aluminum nanoring assembly by fatty acids, showing that modification of auxiliary alcohol sites can lead to different ring configurations. Interestingly, the structural transformation is found to be a thermodynamically spontaneous process through density-functional theory (DFT) calculations.
