Isomeric anthracene diimide polymers

Summary: This work presents a clever synthesis method for preparing anthracene diimide (ADI) monomers, which are further used to construct ADI polymers. The obtained polymers possess different backbone conformations due to varied linking positions between repeating units, resulting in different optoelectronic properties and film-state packing behaviors. These ADI polymers are the first examples of conjugated polymer conformational isomers and show promise as a new class of n-type semiconductors for various organic electronics applications.
