HOCl-Activated Aggregation of Gold Nanoparticles for Multimodality Therapy of Tumors

Dongya Liu et al.

Summary: This study presents a tumor microenvironment-responsive nanodrug strategy based on reactive oxygen species (ROS) activation for imaging-guided precision therapy of tumors. The nanoplatform constructed from gold nanoparticles coated with an HOCl probe can adjust size in the tumor environment and inhibit tumor growth through combined photodynamic therapy (PDT) and photothermal therapy (PTT).
