Electrospun nanofibrous sheet doped with a novel triphenylamine based salicylaldehyde fluorophore for hydrazine vapor detection

Apisit Karawek et al.

Summary: The synthesis of a novel triphenylamine-based salicylaldehyde fluorophore was successfully achieved using the Suzuki cross-coupling reaction. The resulting electrospun nanofiber sheet combined with compound 1 exhibited sensitive and selective detection of hydrazine vapor in aqueous solution. Furthermore, the nanofibrous mat showed promising results for identifying water vapor in water environments as well as industrial chemical settings.

Synthesis and characterization of a highly selective turn-on fluorescent chemosensor for Sn2+ derived from diimine Schiff base

Feyza Kolcu et al.

Summary: This study proposed and synthesized a Schiff base for fluorescent detection of Sn2+ ions, showing remarkable fluorescent enhancement upon binding. The ligand exhibited fast response, high sensitivity, and strong selectivity for Sn2+ ions without interference from other cations. The calculated limit of detection and binding constant were 3.14 x 10(-7) M and 6.8 x 10(9) M-2, respectively.

The preparation of novel triphenylamine-based AIE-effect fluorescent probe for selectively detecting mercury(ii) ion in aqueous solution

Lian Liu et al.

Summary: The TPA-ME fluorescent probe, designed based on the triphenylamine derivative TPA-CHO, shows excellent selectivity and anti-interference properties towards Hg2+ under aggregation-induced emission (AIE) effects. The fluorescence intensity of TPA-ME exhibits a red-shift from blue to green with increasing Hg2+ concentration, and it has a linear response with a low limit of detection (LOD). The theoretical calculation and experimental results are in good agreement, and Hg2+ can be easily detected using a conveniently prepared test paper.
