Novel dual-emissive fluorescent immunoassay for synchronous monitoring of okadaic acid and saxitoxin in shellfish

Mingming Yin et al.

Summary: This study presents a novel dual-emissive fluoroimmunoassay for synchronous monitoring of okadaic acid (OA) and saxitoxin (STX) using multicolor fluorescent labels. The method successfully measured OA and STX contents in Alectryonella plicatula and showed good agreement with commercial ELISA kits.

From signal amplification to restrained background: Magnetic graphene oxide assisted homogeneous electrochemiluminescence aptasensor for highly sensitive detection of okadaic acid

Weiqiang Yang et al.

Summary: A magnetic graphene oxide (M-GO) assisted homogeneous electrochemiluminescence (ECL) aptasensor was developed for the highly sensitive detection of okadaic acid (OA). The composite ECL probe achieved high sensitivity by adsorbing aptamer and Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) in M-GO, allowing proportional release of Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) to generate the ECL signal upon dissociation of OA aptamer.

A plasmonic biosensor array exploiting plasmon coupling between gold nanorods and spheres for domoic acid detection via two methods

Joost L. D. Nelis et al.

Summary: An immunoassay utilizing plasmonic coupling between immobilised gold nanorods and colloid gold nanospheres was developed for detecting the marine toxin domoic acid. By optimizing experimental conditions, uniform and high-quality nanorods were obtained, and plasmon coupling was used to detect the target substance.
