Charge-Dependent Strategy Enables a Single Fluorescent Probe to Study the Interaction Relationship between Mitochondria and Lipid Droplets

Xuechen Li et al.

Summary: The study proposed a charge-dependent strategy and developed a new fluorescent probe, Mito-LD, to investigate the interaction relationships between mitochondria and lipid droplets. Experimental results showed the important role of mitochondria in lipid droplet accumulation and the contribution of lipid droplets in coordinating mitochondrial energy supply in response to cold.
