Reproducibility of Targeted Lipidome Analyses (Lipidyzer) in Plasma and Erythrocytes over a 6-Week Period

Marieke Loef et al.

Summary: It is essential to measure lipid biomarkers with high reproducibility to avoid biased results. This study compared lipid composition and inter-day reproducibility in plasma and erythrocytes, finding that reproducibility was significantly better in plasma than in erythrocytes. Differences were also observed in the reproducibility of different lipid classes between plasma and erythrocytes.
