In vitro selection of DNA aptamers against human osteosarcoma

Khaliunsarnai Tsogtbaatar et al.

Summary: The study identified a high-affinity DNA aptamer (OS-7.9) against human osteosarcoma MG-63 cell line using the cell-SELEX method. The aptamer showed strong binding to target cells at physiological temperature and also recognized common metastasis sites of osteosarcoma such as lung carcinoma and colon colorectal adenocarcinoma cell lines.

Aptamer Generated by Cell-SELEX for Specific Targeting of Human Glioma Cells

Ningqin Lin et al.

Summary: Gliomas, the most common primary brain tumors, have poor prognosis and survival rates despite advancements in surgical and radio-chemotherapy technologies. The cell-SELEX technology has been used to develop the S6-1b aptamer, which can distinguish molecular differences between glioma cells and human astrocytes, showing potential for diagnostic and therapeutic applications in malignant gliomas.

Light-up RNA aptamer signaling-CRISPR-Cas13a-based mix-and-read assays for profiling viable pathogenic bacteria

Ting Zhang et al.

Summary: This study developed a new detection system that can accurately distinguish viable pathogenic bacteria without the need for reverse transcription, nucleic acid amplification, or labeled substrates. By utilizing CRISPR-Cas13a and a light-up RNA aptamer, it enables rapid detection and precise quantification of viable pathogens.

Graphene oxide assisted light-up aptamer selection against Thioflavin T for label-free detection of microRNA

Md Mamunul Islam et al.

Summary: Researchers developed a low-cost, simple, and label-free method with high specificity for detecting DNA and RNA simultaneously by selecting an aptamer against the fluorogenic dye Thioflavin T (ThT), optimizing and minimizing it, and characterizing its interactions. This approach successfully detected the target miR-215 in saliva and serum, showing a detection limit of 2.6 nM.
