Encapsulation strategies on 2D materials for field effect transistors and photodetectors

Nonlinearity in Memristors for Neuromorphic Dynamic Systems

Summary: With the development of semiconductor technology, the visible inefficiency of traditional computing architecture can no longer meet the growing demands for data processing. Neuromorphic systems, which require device components with rich dynamics and nonlinearity, have great prospects in addressing this issue and enabling a new generation of computing paradigm. This article reviews the internal mechanisms that give memristive devices their nonlinearity and rich dynamics, explores the implementation of nonlinear spiking neurons using the physical processes in memristors, and summarizes typical examples of neuromorphic dynamic systems based on nonlinear memristors, including memristive reservoir, memristive oscillatory neural network, and memristive chaotic computing. Finally, an outlook for the development of neuromorphic dynamic systems is provided.

Effect of Strong Intermolecular Interaction in 2D Inorganic Molecular Crystals
