Summary: This study focuses on optimal localizable k-coverage (OLKC) strategies in IoT networks with autonomous deployment framework to assist robots during disaster recovery. The research proposes a novel framework for preserving connectivity and robustness for mobile robots, and develops two optimality conditions to achieve maximum coverage using the minimum number of sensors in unknown hostile environments. Simulation results show that the framework outperforms existing methods and achieves high coverage rates in various scenarios.

An adaptive hierarchical data dissemination mechanism for mobile data collector enabled dynamic wireless sensor network

Nabajyoti Mazumdar et al.

Summary: Recent studies show that mobile data collectors can significantly reduce the energy hole problem in wireless sensor networks, extending network lifetime. Existing schemes using mobile data collectors struggle to balance routing energy consumption and data delivery delay, and sensor network protocols often fail to maintain impact as the network topology changes.
