Adsorption property of fluoride in water by metal organic framework: Optimization of the process by response surface methodology technique

Yiqiong Yang et al.

Summary: In this study, three types of metal-organic frameworks adsorbents were used to remove fluoride from wastewater, and the adsorption conditions were optimized. Among them, aluminum metal-organic frameworks showed the best adsorption performance. The study also revealed that pH was the most important factor influencing fluoride removal by one of the metal-organic frameworks.

The promoting effect of H2O on rod-like MnCeOx derived from MOFs for toluene oxidation: A combined experimental and theoretical investigation

Xiaodong Zhang et al.

Summary: The 3Mn2Ce catalyst shows superior catalytic performance and stability under high humidity conditions, mainly attributed to the formation of a solid solution between Ce and Mn species and better reducibility. The introduction of water can promote toluene mineralization by activating oxygen vacancies and facilitating the degradation pathway of toluene.

Influence of pretreatment conditions on low-temperature CO oxidation over Pd supported UiO-66 catalysts

Fukun Bi et al.

Summary: In this study, the impact of Pd supported on UiO-66 catalysts on CO oxidation was investigated. The results showed that the pretreatment conditions significantly influenced the surface area, reduction ability, particle size, and surface chemical state of the catalyst. The better catalytic performance of 0.5Pd-66-O was attributed to its high surface area, better reducibility, small Pd nanoparticles, and more Pd2+ and O-lat species.
