Self-Deposition of 2D Molybdenum Sulfides on Liquid Metals

Yifang Wang et al.

Summary: The self-deposition of 2D molybdenum sulfide on the surface of EGaIn allows for the formation of large-scale planar molybdenum sulfides, resulting in highly crystalline 2H-MoS(2) after annealing. This work demonstrates a fundamentally new capability for the formation of large-scale 2D TMDs.

Interfacial Engineering of Room Temperature Liquid Metals

Jun-Heng Fu et al.

Summary: Room temperature liquid metals, particularly gallium-based alloys, exhibit fascinating characteristics derived from both metallic and fluidic natures. Understanding the interfacial effects of liquid metal on diverse surfaces is crucial for explaining fundamental phenomena and enabling applications in unconventional chemical synthesis, energy conversion, and printed electronics. Systematic interpretation of these interfacial issues is essential for developing advanced technologies in RTLMs.

General Programmable Growth of Hybrid Core-Shell Nanostructures with Liquid Metal Nanodroplets

Long Ren et al.

Summary: This study presents a general route for programmable preparation of complex core-shell nanostructures using liquid metal droplets as reformable templates. By triggering a localized galvanic replacement reaction in an ultrasonication system, high-level compositional diversity control and quantitative regulation of both the core and shell layers of the heterogeneous products are achieved, offering a method that cannot be realized with a solid-template synthetic route.
