Atomically sharp interface enabled ultrahigh-speed non-volatile memory devices

Liangmei Wu et al.

Summary: Non-volatile memory devices based on van der Waals heterostructures with atomically sharp interfaces have been developed to achieve ultrafast programming/erasing operations with extinction ratio up to 10(10). This enhanced performance enables new device capabilities such as multi-bit storage, opening up new possibilities for applications in the realm of modern nanoelectronics and future fabrication guidelines for device scale up. Atomically sharp interfaces in van der Waals heterostructures enable the realization of ultrafast non-volatile memory devices.

Giant photoresponsivity of transfer free grown fluorographene-MoS2 heterostructured ultra-stable transistors

Rahul Sharma et al.

Summary: The development of air and water stable opto-electronic devices based on metal dichalcogenides faces challenges, but researchers have successfully addressed this issue by depositing a fluorographene protective layer over monolayer MoS2. The heterostructure of fluorographene and MoS2 shows enormous photoresponse and chemical stability, outperforming the MoS2-only photodetector. The broad optical response of the fluorographene-MoS2 structure remains intact even after exposure to water or heat treatment, making it an ideal choice for high shelf-life photodetectors and solar cells.

Mid-infrared semimetal polarization detectors with configurable polarity transition

Jingxuan Wei et al.

Summary: A nanoantenna-mediated semimetal photodetector, capable of configurable polarity transition and covering a wide range of polarization ratios from positive to negative values, has been reported. This device breaks the conventional relationship between polarization ratio (PR) and diattenuation, allowing for PR values to approach infinity at the polarity-transition point.
