Effects of dietary hatchery by-products on growth performance, relative organ weight, plasma measurements, immune organ index, meat quality, and tibia characteristics of broiler chickens

Won Jun Choi et al.

Summary: The study found that replacing fish meal with infertile eggs or a mixture of hatchery by-products in broiler diets can improve meat lightness, increase 1-hour postmortem pH of breast meat, and are suitable alternatives as protein ingredients.

Effects of Betaine Supplementation on Live Performance, Selected Blood Parameters, and Expression of Water Channel and Stress-Related mRNA Transcripts of Delayed Placement Broiler Chicks

Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Sagan et al.

Summary: The study found that post-hatch holding for 48 hours depressed feed intake and body weight gain during the entire 15-day study period, with no beneficial effect of supplemental betaine. Chicks in the HoldB2 group had elevated serum glucose, triglycerides, and aspartate aminotransferase 48 hours post-hatch.

Changes in the growth, ileal digestibility, intestinal histology, behavior, fatty acid composition of the breast muscles, and blood biochemical parameters of broiler chickens by dietary inclusion of safflower oil and vitamin C

Shimaa A. Amer et al.

Summary: The inclusion of safflower oil and vitamin C in broiler chicken diets improved growth performance, fatty acid composition of breast muscles, intestinal histology, and immune status. The optimal inclusion level was 400 mg/kg vit. C + 10 g/kg safflower oil.

Effects of dietary chromium picolinate supplementation on broiler growth performance: A meta-analysis

Chao Feng et al.

Summary: The meta-analysis showed that dietary chromium picolinate supplementation significantly improved broiler growth performance, with Ross 308 or male broilers showing better sensitivity and growth performance. The optimal chromium addition for maximum growth performance was found to be 1810 ug/kg. The results of sensitivity analysis indicated low sensitivity and high stability of the meta-analysis, providing valuable insights for the broiler industry.
