Summary: The systematic monitoring campaign of pharmaceuticals and personal-care products (PPCPs) in the Taige Canal basin revealed heavy contamination, mainly influenced by surrounding agriculture and animal breeding industry, with noticeable seasonal variations. The observed PPCP mass flow rates in 2019 were lower than those in 2015, mainly due to water pollution control measures in the watershed.

Antibiotics in the surface water of Shanghai, China: screening, distribution, and indicator selecting
