Teaching teachers to use technology through massive open online course: Perspectives of interaction equivalency

Summary: This study investigated how interaction influenced teachers' course completion in a MOOC-based professional development course and found that learner-content interaction was the predictor of whether teachers completed the course. The importance of interactions in MOOCs for teachers was confirmed in the findings.

Implementing open educational resources in digital education

Summary: The outbreak of COVID-19 has led to an increased demand for online educational resources, and OER has the potential to facilitate the transition to digital education. Concerns about the effectiveness of student learning with OER remain unresolved. Hilton's review shows that OER can reduce textbook spending without compromising student learning, but additional considerations are needed for implementing OER in digital education.
