Adam Przybylowski et al.

Summary: The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the mobility behaviors of public transport users, leading to many abandoning or limiting their use of public transport while others hope to return to it after the pandemic. The future of public transport in cities and passengers' willingness to use it post-pandemic will largely depend on their perceived comfort and safety during the epidemic, highlighting the importance of enhancing these perceptions in transport policies to encourage sustainable modes of transport in the future.

COVID-19 risk perception and coping mechanisms: Does gender make a difference?

Irfan Ahmad Rana et al.

Summary: This study examined gender differences in COVID-19 risk perception and coping mechanisms in Pakistan, finding significant variations between male and female participants. Women showed higher levels of perceived fear, better compliance with government guidelines, and more effective coping strategies compared to men in response to the pandemic. These findings suggest that gender considerations should be integrated into the design of effective communication and risk reduction strategies for addressing current and potential future pandemic situations.
