Interaction solutions to nonlinear partial differential equations via Hirota bilinear forms: one-lump-multi-stripe and one-lump-multi-soliton types

Xing Lu et al.

Summary: Interaction solutions between lump and soliton in nonlinear partial differential equations are analyzed using Hirota bilinear forms. The one-lump-multi-stripe and one-lump-multi-soliton solutions can be generated from combined solutions, and necessary and sufficient conditions for the two types of interaction solutions are presented based on the associated bilinear equations. Applications are made for various (2+1)-dimensional equations.

Bright and dark optical solitons for (3+1)-dimensional Schrodinger equation with cubic-quintic-septic nonlinearities

Abdul-Majid Wazwaz

Summary: This study addresses soliton propagation in a sixth-order nonlinear Schrodinger equation with fourth-order and sixth-order dispersive terms influenced by cubic-quintic-septic nonlinearities. Bright and dark optical soliton solutions are formally derived, with constraints on parameters for determining these solutions. Other ansatze are employed to determine additional singular and periodic solutions. The findings could enhance understanding of wave dynamics in cubic-quintic-septic nonlinear materials such as chalcogenide glass.

Backlund transformation, Pfaffian, Wronskian and Grammian solutions to the (3+1)-dimensional generalized Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation

Xue-Jiao He et al.

Summary: In this study, the (3+1)-dimensional generalized Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation was investigated using the Hirota bilinear method and symbolic computation. A bilinear Backlund transformation with four equations and five free parameters was constructed, and solutions in Pfaffian, Wronskian, and Grammian forms were derived using determinant properties. Soliton solutions as well as triangle function solutions were also obtained and plotted for specific parameter choices.

Bright and dark solitons of a weakly nonlocal Schrodinger equation involving the parabolic law nonlinearity

Kamyar Hosseini et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the weakly nonlocal Schrodinger equation with parabolic law nonlinearity, and successfully constructs soliton solutions including bright and dark solitons. The key goal is achieved formally using approaches such as Kudryashov and exponential methods. The results presented in this study play a significant role in describing the propagation of soliton waves in a weakly nonlocal parabolic law medium.

Integrability characteristics of a novel (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear model: Painleve analysis, soliton solutions, Backlund transformation, Lax pair and infinitely many conservation laws

Xing Lu et al.

Summary: (English Summary:) The research investigates the integrability characteristics of the (2+1)-dimensional Kadomtsev-Petviashvili type equations, finding that the failure to pass the Painleve test is due to a non-vanishing compatibility condition at the highest resonance level. Soliton solutions and the N-soliton solution formula were derived and validated using the Hirota condition. The study also explores the criteria for the linear superposition principle and methods for generating resonant solutions, as well as deriving Backlund transformation, Lax pair, and infinitely many conservation laws through the Hirota bilinear method and Bell polynomial approach.

Novel evolutionary behaviors of the mixed solutions to a generalized Burgers equation with variable coefficients

Si-Jia Chen et al.

Summary: A generalized Burgers equation with variable coefficients is introduced based on the (2+1) dimensional Burgers equation, with lump solutions obtained using the test function method. The amplitude and velocity of the extremum point are derived for analyzing wave propagation, as well as mixed solutions like lump-one-kink and lump-two-kink cases. Different interaction phenomena arise from assigning abundant functions to the variable coefficients, including the shape of kink waves and decomposition of lump waves. The test function method is applicable for the generalized Burgers equation with variable coefficients and can be extended to other variable-coefficient equations in the future.
