Redox active covalent organic framework-based conductive nanofibers for flexible energy storage device

Summary: This study presents a method to grow COF nanolayers on the surface of carbon nanotubes, forming core-shell nanostructures with enhanced electrical conductivity and ion diffusion for improved electrochemical performance. The resulting nanofibers show good flexibility and processability, leading to the fabrication of nanopaper electrodes for flexible hybrid capacitors with high areal capacitance and long life-time. This work provides a new pathway for sustainable and flexible energy storage devices based on COFs and cellulose materials.

Carbon nanocomposites have attracted attention in the field of electromagnetic interference shielding due to their low density, natural abundance, easy preparation, excellent conductivity, and flexibility. Recent advancements in carbon materials as ESMs/MAMs have shown that 3D carbon materials and novel composites have the potential to enhance electromagnetic interference shielding efficiency.

Summary: A simple hydrothermal method was used to synthesize Co3O4-palygorskite composites, which showed excellent catalytic activity in degrading antibiotic sulfamethoxazole (SMX) using peroxymonosulfate (PMS). The composites exhibited higher activity under acidic conditions and the degradation was mainly caused by SO4·- and ·OH radicals.

Two-for-one strategy: Three-dimensional porous Fe-doped Co3O4 cathode and N-doped carbon anode derived from a single bimetallic metal-organic framework for enhanced hybrid supercapacitor

Summary: This study successfully utilized a two-for-one strategy to fabricate Fe-doped Co3O4 and N-doped carbon from a single bimetallic metal-organic framework, resulting in high capacitance. The charge storage mechanism of Fe-doped Co3O4 was investigated, and the HSC device achieved desirable specific energy, power, and cycling stability. The HSC device also successfully powered a LED, indicating its potential application in green energy conversion and storage devices.

Hierarchically porous Co/C nanocomposites for ultralight high-performance microwave absorption
