Nursing professionals' mental well-being and workplace impairment during the COVID-19 crisis: A Network analysis

Summary: The study found that during the COVID-19 crisis, nurses' work impairment decreased with greater years of nursing experience and increased with higher levels of anxiety, depression, burnout, and avoidance. These findings can help in designing effective infectious disease management programs for nursing students and professionals to prevent breakdowns and work impairment.

Burnout-Depression Overlap: Exploratory Structural Equation Modeling Bifactor Analysis and Network Analysis

Summary: The study revealed that exhaustion, cynicism, and professional inefficacy were more strongly correlated with depression than with each other. Exhaustion, as the core of burnout, showed a stronger association with depression compared to cynicism or professional inefficacy. Additionally, work-nonwork interferences were found to be strongly linked to distress/dysphoria.
