Impulse pressure in laser printing with gel microdroplets

V. S. Zhigarkov et al.

Summary: This study introduces a promising method of laser printing with gel micmdroplets containing living organisms for microbiology, biotechnology, and medicine. It discusses the pressure jumps generated during the transfer process and the importance of assessing these jumps to improve the technology of laser printing with biomaterials. Experimental estimates of the jumps were conducted based on measurements of the acoustic pressure using a hydrophone, revealing different pressure jumps when using titanium and chromium films.

Low-Intensity Pulsed Ultrasound Enhanced Neurite Guidance Growth through Netrin-1/DCC Signal Pathway in Primary Cultured Cortical Neurons of Rats

Jianqiang Wen et al.

Summary: Low-intensity pulsed ultrasound demonstrated neuroprotective effects in vitro by increasing neuronal cell viability and inhibiting apoptosis, enhancing axonal growth guidance at 0.12 W/cm(2), and promoting functional restoration of injured nerves in vivo at 0.21 W/cm(2) through activation of netrin-1/DCC signaling pathway.
