Summary: This study aimed to examine the experiences of high-risk self-harm patients in engaging with healthcare services following a stay in the hospital and explore factors associated with their perceptions of care received. The findings revealed that positive experiences of care, including supportive relationships and comprehensive follow-up, were linked to help-seeking and treatment adherence, while unsupportive and inconsistent care left patients feeling isolated and resistant to treatment.
