Parenting-Focused Mindfulness Intervention Reduces Stress and Improves Parenting in Highly Stressed Mothers of Adolescents

Summary: The study showed that mindfulness intervention can increase mothers' mindfulness, reduce parenting stress, improve mindful parenting and parent-adolescent relationship for highly stressed parents. Mothers of girls benefited more from the intervention, showing decreased negative parenting behavior and emotional responses. The overall effect sizes were medium to large, supporting parenting-focused mindfulness training as an effective strategy for highly stressed parents.
