Efficient foreground object segmentation from video by Probability Weighted Moments

Summary: This paper introduces an effective method named Fused Probability weighted moments and Principal component analysis Video Object Segmentation (FPPVOS) by combining Probability Weighted Moments (PWM) with Principal Component Analysis (PCA). This method significantly reduces computational cost and addresses challenges such as foreground-background contrast and unsupervised learning. Experimental results demonstrate that the method achieves superior performance in a short time interval compared to existing methods.
