Highly-sensitive and fast detection of human telomeric G-Quadruplex DNA based on a hemin-conjugated fluorescent metal-organic framework platform

Vahid Javan Kouzegaran et al.

Summary: A simple fluorometric method was developed for the selective detection of picomolar quantities of H-Telo G4 DNA using a fluorescent cerium-based metal organic framework conjugated with hemin. The detection and quantification of H-Telo was achieved through adsorption/incorporation of hemin molecules on the pores and surface of Ce-MOF, leading to fluorescent quenching and restoration upon addition of H-Telo. The developed probe showed a LOD of 665 pM, LDR of 1.6-39.7 nM and excellent selectivity towards H-Telo, providing a simple, novel and superior platform for the selective detection of H-Telo G4 DNA.

2D Co3O4 stabilizing Rh nano composites developed for visual sensing bioactive urea and toxic p-aminophenol in practice by synergetic-reinforcing oxidase activity

Qi Zhao et al.

Summary: The study successfully developed 2D Co3O4@Rh NC with superior oxidase-like catalytic activity and applied it for colorimetric sensing of urea and p-Ap in environmental samples. Investigation into the different reaction mechanisms of the 2D Co3O4@Rh NC-TMB system to urea and p-Ap provides an efficient way for sensing organic pollution of p-Ap and offers an efficient potential for diagnosing urea-related diseases on clinical medical testing in the future.

Regulating the enzymatic activities of metal-ATP nanoparticles by metal doping and their application for H2O2 detection

Xin Xu et al.

Summary: This study introduces a facile method for fabricating metal-ATP nanoparticles and demonstrates that the enzyme-like activities of these nanoparticles can be modulated by metal doping. The CuMnFe-ATP NPs exhibit multiple enzyme-like activities, showing potential applications in the field of biosensing.
