Investigation of micropolar hybrid ferrofluid flow over a vertical plate by considering various base fluid and nanoparticle shape factor

Kh. Hosseinzadeh et al.

Summary: This paper investigates micropolar magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) fluid flow passing over a vertical plate, considering natural convection heat transfer and magnetic field in three different base fluids. The effects of the magnetic parameter, nanoparticle volume fraction, micropolar parameter, and nanoparticle shape factor on velocity, temperature, and microrotation profiles are analyzed. The use of mixed base fluids is presented as a novelty in this study.

Boundary layer flow and heat transfer of Cu-Al2O3/water over a moving horizontal slender needle in presence of hydromagnetic and slip effects

Nur Adilah Liyana Aladdin et al.

Summary: The study shows the existence of dual solutions within a specific range, with a unique solution in another range. The range of dual solutions decreases as hydromagnetic, slip effect, and needle size increase. Reduction in skin friction between the needle and fluid is observed when hydromagnetic, slip effect, and needle size increase.

Unsteady EMHD stagnation point flow over a stretching/shrinking sheet in a hybrid Al2O3-Cu/H2O nanofluid

Nurul Amira Zainal et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the unsteady electro-magnetohydrodynamic stagnation point flow in a hybrid nanofluid on a stretching/shrinking sheet, and found that the inclusion of nanoparticles increases the skin friction coefficient and local Nusselt number. The coordination of the electric and magnetic fields delays the progression of the fluid, while the unsteadiness parameter has a decreasing impact on heat transfer performance.

Entropy generation of three-dimensional Bodewadt flow of water and hexanol base fluid suspended by Fe3O4 and MoS2 hybrid nanoparticles

Kh Hosseinzadeh et al.

Summary: The study reveals that entropy generation increases with the Eckert number, but decreases with a growth in nanoparticle volume fraction and shape factor. Furthermore, hexanol has higher irreversibility rate, Bejan number, and Nusselt number compared to water. The nanoparticle volume fraction has the most significant impact on the skin friction coefficient.

Summary: This study investigates the impact of suction and mixed convection parameters on heat transfer performance using a hybrid nanofluid of copper and alumina nanoparticles. The results show that the presence of suction parameter can delay separation of flow and enhance heat transfer rate.
