Role of stromal activin A in human pancreatic cancer and metastasis in mice

Summary: The study reveals that high expression of Activin A in the stroma of PDAC patients is associated with poor prognosis, with pancreatic stellate cells (PSC) secreting Activin A to promote PDAC cell migration. Inhibition of Activin A in mice can decrease tumor metastases.
