On fully intuitionistic fuzzy multiobjective transportation problems using different membership functions

Sumati Mahajan et al.

Summary: Intuitionistic fuzzy set theory is a generalized version of classical fuzzy set theory. In this study, a balanced transportation problem with multiple objectives is formulated with all parameters and variables as intuitionistic fuzzy numbers. The algorithm proposed uses different membership functions to handle intuitionistic fuzzy constraints and various theorems are established to show the relations among different problems.

Optimization of fuzzy-valued functions using Zadeh's extension principle

Michael M. Diniz et al.

Summary: This paper presents a fuzzy optimization problem and proves that a specific point can provide the minimal value for the function and the local smallest fuzzy value for the extended function, using partial order relation and usual order relation. Examples are provided to illustrate the results.

Empirical Versus Analytical Solutions to Full Fuzzy Linear Programming

Bogdana Stanojevic et al.

Summary: In this study, full fuzzy linear programming is approached by defining the optimal solution in the extension principle framework. A Monte Carlo simulation is used to compare empirically derived solutions with those proposed in the literature. Additionally, a model describing the membership function of the fuzzy set of feasible objective values is introduced, aiming to provide decision-makers with information on extreme values of the objective function under uncertain constraints.

From Classical Logic to Fuzzy Logic and Quantum Logic: A General View

S. Nadaban

Summary: This article aims to provide a concise and unified view on the algebraic connections between classical logic and its generalizations, such as fuzzy logic and quantum logic. The concept of lattice, which governs any type of logic, is highlighted as the basic tool in this study, with the use of Hilbert spaces theory discussed in relation to quantum logic.

My Early Researches on Fuzzy Set and Fuzzy Logic

Y. Shi

Summary: This paper presents the author's works on fuzzy sets and fuzzy systems in early 1980's, including an isomorphic theorem on fuzzy subgroups and fuzzy series, and the convergence theorem of fuzzy integral type II contributed by Zhang Wenxiu and Zhao Ruhuai. Both types of fuzzy integrals have been important in engineering device design for the past 40 years.

B. Stanojevic et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a mathematical model with disjunctive constraint system and improves the solution approach to transportation problems with trapezoidal fuzzy parameters. The approach is further extended to intuitionistic fuzzy parameters, and the fuzzy solutions obtained are compared to those from existing literature.
