The T cell factor, pangolin, from Litopenaeus vannamei play a positive role in the immune responses against white spot syndrome virus infection

Summary: In this study, two isoforms of Litopenaeus vannamei Pangolin were identified, and it was found that LvPangolin plays a positive role in response to WSSV infection. Inhibition of LvPangolin resulted in decreased survival rates and higher viral loads in the shrimp. Additionally, knockdown of LvPangolin by RNAi decreased the expression of antimicrobial peptide genes.
