An environmentally friendly, simple and novel microextraction procedure for copper at trace level from urine, sweat, dialysis solution and water samples before its FAAS detection

Summary: A supramolecular solvent-based liquid-phase microextraction method was developed for the determination of trace copper by FAAS. Optimization of pH, solvent volume, chelating agent amount, and other parameters resulted in low detection and quantification limits. The accuracy of the method was confirmed through analysis of certified reference materials and recovery tests. This method has wide applications in urine, sweat, dialysis solution, and water samples.

Spectrophotometric determination of lamotrigine in plasma samples: Ultrasound-assisted emulsification-microextraction based on a hydrophobic deep eutectic solvent followed by back-extraction

Summary: In this study, sensitive detection of lamotrigine in human plasma samples was achieved through a low-cost ultrasound-assisted emulsification-microextraction method. The method utilized a hydrophobic deep eutectic solvent for back-extraction, allowing for quantification of the drug by spectrophotometry in the UV region. Optimization was done using central composite design and a desirability function approach, resulting in a wide dynamic linear range and low detection limit.

The method demonstrated excellent reproducibility and satisfactory extraction recovery rates.
