Optimizing the Optoelectronic Properties of Face-On Oriented Poly(3,4-Ethylenedioxythiophene) via Water-Assisted Oxidative Chemical Vapor Deposition

Meysam Heydari Gharahcheshmeh et al.

Summary: By growing face-on oriented semicrystalline PEDOT thin films using water-assisted oxidative chemical vapor deposition (oCVD), a significant enhancement in electrical conductivity has been achieved, reaching a record high of 7520 S cm(-1). Systematically controlling the π-π stacking distance led to an approximately 1140% improvement in electrical conductivity. This single-step, dry process allows for conformal coverage and direct growth on mechanically flexible, rough, and structured surfaces.
