Statistical Approach and Neutron Activation Analysis for Determining Essential and Toxic Elements in Two Kinds of AlgerianArtemisiaPlant

Samir Begaa et al.

Summary: This study conducted instrumental neutron activation analysis for two types of Artemisia plants collected from different locations in Djelfa province, Algeria, determining their essential and toxic elements for the first time. The results showed the presence of 21 elements in both plants, with significant concentrations of potassium, calcium, iron, and sodium. The tolerable daily intake (TDI) of the studied plants was found to be within the limits set by the World Health Organization (WHO), suggesting a scientific basis for optimal usage and enriching the medicinal herbs database.
