Morphological and thermal properties of polystyrene composite reinforced with biochar from elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum)

Adewale George Adeniyi et al.

Summary: This study aimed to develop polystyrene composites by using biochar from elephant grass as fillers. The morphological and thermal properties of the composites were evaluated. The results showed that a biochar composition range of 10-30 wt% could achieve a heat capacity range of 600-760 J/kg·K.
