Effect of rice bran fermented with Bacillus and Lysinibacillus species on dynamic microbial activity of Pacific white shrimp (Penaeus vannamei)

Maria A. Linan-Vidriales et al.

Summary: Fermented rice bran with a consortium of Bacillus and Lysinibacillus strains had a slight positive effect on growth performance and health status of Pacific white shrimp, with potential alterations in the bacterial community structure. Analysis revealed differences in the prevalence of certain bacterial families among treatments, suggesting potential mechanisms for the beneficial effects of fermented rice bran on shrimp culture.
