Fishers' perceptions and adaptation on climate change in northeastern Taiwan

Jyun-Long Chen

Summary: The study found that the majority of fishers may adjust their fishing behaviors in response to climate change, especially those who recognize the importance of risk controls and impacts on marine environments. Experienced fishers and younger labor forces are more likely to adapt fishing behaviors, while elderly fishers are less willing to do so.

Spatial diversification as a mechanism to adapt to environmental changes in small-scale fisheries

Blanca Gonzalez-Mon et al.

Summary: This study examines the challenges faced by small-scale fisheries, the importance of diversification strategies, and how spatial diversification is influenced by environmental and institutional factors. The results highlight spatial diversification as a dynamic process that is influenced by a combination of factors.
