The Efficacy of Drug Injection in the Treatment of Pathological Scar: A Network Meta-analysis

Pengfei Sun et al.

Summary: The network meta-analysis showed that the combined use of botulinum toxin type A and corticosteroids was the most effective in the injection treatment of pathological scars. There was no significant difference between other drugs, but the combination of corticosteroids with 5-FU was better than using them alone. It is recommended to use the combination of botulinum toxin type A and corticosteroids for injection treatment.

Surface characterization of a silicone hydrogel contact lens having bioinspired 2-methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine polymer layer in hydrated state

Xinfeng Shi et al.

Summary: A silicone hydrogel contact lens material with unique chemical and physical structure was enhanced through surface modification using a bioinspired MPC polymer, resulting in improved surface characteristics such as hydrophilicity and lubricity. The hydrated MPC polymer layer on the surface led to softer surface properties and reduced friction, which are expected to contribute to excellent ocular performance.
