Free convection and radiation effects in nanofluid (Silicon dioxide and Molybdenum disulfide) with second order velocity slip, entropy generation, Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium

M. Ijaz Khan et al.

Summary: This research focuses on the steady, incompressible two-dimensional Darcy-Forchheimer nanofluid flow towards a stretched surface, utilizing communication, mathematical modeling, and numerical simulation. Results show an increase in entropy generation rate with higher Brinkman number, and a decrease in temperature with higher values of the stratification parameter.

Velocity and thermal slip effects on two-phase flow of MHD Jeffrey fluid with the suspension of tiny metallic particles

Hina Firdous et al.

Summary: This study focuses on the mathematical analysis of three fundamental multiphase flows using Jeffrey fluid and Hafnium particles, considering the effects of magnetic fields and thermal slip boundary conditions. A detailed parametric study reveals the impact of Hartmann number, Brinkman number, and magnetic field on momentum and temperature profiles in the system. The findings indicate that an increase in Hartmann number reduces momentum while having an opposite impact on temperature distribution, and more energy is added to the system with an increase in Brinkman number and magnetic field.

Computational study of solid-liquid supercritical flow of 4th-grade fluid through magnetized surface

Mubbashar Nazeer et al.

Summary: This paper presents a comparative study of Newtonian and non-Newtonian dispersions passing through an inclined channel, utilizing fourth-grade fluid as the non-Newtonian component. The analysis focuses on the velocity profiles, showing that the Newtonian two-phase flows suspended with crystal and hafnium particles outperform the bi-phase flows of fourth-grade dispersions. The results highlight the significance of hafnium particles and indicate their potential applications in various fields, particularly in medical nanofluid drug delivery. Additionally, the study reveals a lack of comparative analysis between Newtonian and fourth-grade non-Newtonian bi-phase flows in existing literature.
