Influence of the chamber inclination angle and heat-generating element location on thermal convection of power-law medium in a chamber

Darya Loenko et al.

Summary: This study focuses on the mathematical modeling of passive cooling systems for electronic devices and analyzes the impact of the position of the heat-generating element and the tilt angle of the electronic cabinet on thermal convection of non-Newtonian fluids. By analyzing streamlines, isotherms, and average Nusselt numbers, the study found that better cooling occurs when the cavity is filled with a pseudoplastic fluid and is not inclined.

Energy performance investigation of nanofluid-based concentrated photovoltaic / thermal-thermoelectric generator hybrid system

Abdelhak Lekbir et al.

Summary: The study explored the use of nanofluid in a CPV/T solar collector to enhance electrical and thermal performance, and found that the nanofluid-based system outperformed traditional cooling methods. Specifically, the nanofluid-based NCPV/T-TEG configuration exhibited significantly higher electrical performance compared to standard PV modules, CPV/TEG, and WCPV/T-TEG configurations. Additionally, the NCPV/T-TEG system showed an overall thermal energy increase compared to the water-cooled system. The results suggest that the NCPV/T-TEG hybrid system has the potential for further development in high-concentration solar systems.

Impact of particles tracking model of nanofluid on forced convection heat transfer within a wavy horizontal channel

A. Alsabery et al.

Summary: The analysis focuses on the computational study of nanosuspension forced convection in a horizontal wavy channel with heating from the upper wavy surface. The use of nanofluids and irregular channels can enhance energy transport and heat removal. Increasing Reynolds number leads to a narrowing of fluid tube within the channel and improvement of average velocity and Nusselt number, while higher channel waviness number results in increased average particle velocity and temperature.

Impacts of elasticity and porosity of the channels on the performance features of thermoelectric module mounted system and efficient computations with multi-proper orthogonal decomposition approach

Fatih Selimefendigil et al.

Summary: The presence of elastic walls has a slight impact on power variation, while the presence of a porous layer alters power generation features significantly. Increasing the permeability and height of the porous layer results in higher thermoelectric power generation, with the highest increment amounts being 32% for the highest permeability and 17% for the highest porous layer height. The length of the porous layer in the flow direction has a slight impact on power generation, while introducing nano-sized particles further enhances power generation.

Mohammad Mokaddes Ali et al.

Summary: Numerical investigation of buoyancy driven convection in a hybrid nanofluid filled wavy-walled cavity reveals that increasing Rayleigh number and heater length enhances fluid flow circulation and heat transfer rate, while higher Hartmann number shows the opposite trend. The presence of heat generating cylinder and roughness of cavity walls influence fluid motion intensity and temperature distribution.
